Outlaws Return to Hanford March 31 for Rain-Delayed Feature

HANFORD, CA - California native Jason Meyers will be on the pole Thursday, March 31, for the resumption of the rain-delayed 35-lap feature event at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway. The race was scheduled for March 18 but rain began to fall just as the A-main rolled onto the track, forcing officials to postpone the rest of the event.

For ticket information at Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway call 559-584-7223. The race will kick off a World of Outlaws tripleheader weekend with events April 1 at Merced Speedway and April 2 at Calistoga Speedway.

Paul McMahan set quick time during qualifying when he turned a lap around the 3/8-mile oval in 13.119 seconds at 102.904 mph and earned five points in the championship standings. It marked the third time this season McMahan was quickest in time trials. Craig Dollansky, Sammy Swindell, Jason Sides and Kerry Madsen rounded out the Top Five in the 26-car field and also earned qualifying points.

Heat race winners included Evan Suggs, Joey Saldana and Meyers, who also won the Dash. Tommy Tarlton won the B-main.
